We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Marks & Spencer Simply Food, on London Road in Woodley.
Shoppers will be able to donate in store – knowing that they will be helping to support some of Reading’s most vulnerable residents.
The Launchpad team are particularly grateful to Sue Bennet, customer assistant, for nominating us. Sue was inspired to help Launchpad after seeing the great work that happens at the Launchpad allotment, which just happens be next to Sue and her husband’s.
Sue said: “It’s great to see a local charity in action. They work so hard to help people and I’m so pleased that my store will be lending a hand.”
Vinni D’Mello, store manager, said: “It’s important for the team to have a say in who we should support, and I’m delighted that we’ll be helping such a fantastic local charity. This is an organisation the whole team will be so proud to work with.”
Launchpad’s Head of Marketing and Fundraising, Kirsti Wilson, said: “We are incredibly grateful to M&S Simply food, in Woodley, not only for the opportunity to raise donations, but to also raise awareness of Launchpad and what we do.
“The cost-of-living crisis is affecting so many people across Reading, so it’s great that people will see that they are not alone – regardless of their circumstances.”
As well as in store promotions and donations, both teams will be working together on volunteer opportunities at our Woodley allotment.
