Join us for Carols by Candlelight

Our heart-warming evening of Carols by Candlelight returns to Reading Town Hall on Tuesday, 2 December.

We would love you to join us for an evening of festive music, readings, and client stories inside the stunning Concert hall at the venue in Blagrave Street.

This much-loved event will be hosted by Launchpad Patron and BBC presenter Matt Allwright, alongside Kirsti Wilson, Launchpad’s Head of Marketing and Fundraising. Together, they’ll guide guests through a magical evening of music, readings, and stories of hope.

Guests will be treated to performances by two brilliant local choirs:

Universal Voices – a vibrant community choir for children aged 7–11, based at the University of Reading’s Institute of Education

The Tonyx (pictured) – a talented quartet of ladies singing in barbershop harmony

The show will begin at 6pm, with doors opening at 5pm for guests to arrive, get a drink in the Waterhouse bar, buy some raffle tickets (we have secured some fantastic prizes this year) and soak in the festive atmosphere.

Alongside the music, the evening will feature seasonal readings and powerful stories from Launchpad clients, highlighting the impact of the charity’s work in supporting vulnerable people across Reading.

Whether you’re looking to kick off the festive season with beautiful carols or support a vital local cause, Carols by Candlelight is an event not to be missed.

Every ticket sold helps Launchpad offer warm, safe, and supported accommodation to over 100 vulnerable individuals, couples, and families this winter—giving them a place to call home during the most difficult time of year.

Kirsti, said: “Carols by Candlelight is a beautiful celebration of community, compassion, and Christmas spirit. It’s a chance to come together, reflect, and support those who need it most. We’d love for you to join us.”
