What is the Great Riverside Ramble?
The Great Riverside Ramble is a local walking challenge offering half-marathon and marathon distance routes.
Both routes are incredibly scenic and pass along woodland trails, riverside paths and through historic riverside villages.
The vast majority of the route is flat but there are a couple of notable climbs in the Chilterns – the views are worth it!
No navigation skills are required as the routes will be clearly signposted and there will be friendly marshals and a roaming support team to keep you on track.

Fundraising
We’d love for you to fundraise for us as part of The Great Riverside Ramble. After you have signed up, our fundraising team will be in touch with instructions on how to set up a JustGiving page so friends, family and colleagues can support you with your challenge.
How do we support members of Team Launchpad?
We will support you every step of the way – we offer tips on how to prepare and lots of fundraising materials, and you’ll get an exclusive Launchpad technical t-shirt and goodies for taking part.
How will your fundraising help Launchpad?
Day in, day out, Launchpad helps people, couples and families like you in Reading who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes – and only with your kind support can we continue this vital work. The cost of living crisis continues to leave homeless people extremely vulnerable, and we already see many more in a housing crisis. Every penny you raise when you take on the Great Riverside Ramble challenge helps us prevent homelessness in our town.
