What is the South Coast Challenge?
The South Coast Challenge is fun, safe, and rewarding – with full support all the way, enabling you to push yourself further in stunning coastal scenery. Starting in Eastbourne, the route covers Beachy Head, the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the South Downs Way, with stunning views over the sea, to a Brighton half-way. Devil’s Dyke, and a few ups and downs lie ahead before historic Arundel comes into view after an amazing 100 km journey.

How will I be supported as a member of Team Launchpad?
We will be in touch with you after you have registered to support you every step of the way! We can offer you tips on training and lots of fundraising materials, and you’ll get a Launchpad t-shirt and goodies to say thank you for taking part on our behalf.
How will my fundraising help Launchpad?
Day in, day out, Launchpad helps people, couples and families like you in Reading who are homeless or at risk of losing their home – and only with your kind support can we continue this vital work. Every penny you raise when you take on this challenge helps us prevent homelessness in our town.
At Launchpad, we have had to cancel or postpone some of our events over the last year and our fundraising has inevitably suffered.
2022 is set to remain uncertain as the pandemic continues to leave homeless people extremely vulnerable, and we are expecting to see many more in housing crisis, with increased job losses and evictions on the horizon.
By taking on the South Coast Challenge for Launchpad, you will be making all the difference to people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home in Reading – and at a time when our help is vital.
Is the event COVID-safe?
By signing up to an Ultra Challenge, you can be confident that the series of events will be as low risk as possible. If your event is cancelled or postponed after sign up, you’ll be offered a transfer onto a new date or a full refund on your registration fee.
