Office Admin Support Volunteer
Volunteer Activity Description
To provide administration and office support to the Office Management Team – the office management function is responsible for the running of the office and managing all IT.
Specific Tasks
- General office admin, filing, photocopying, scanning , shredding
- Maintain various databases
- Maintain supplies- stationery ordering
- Manage incoming and outgoing post
- Production of documents
- Responding to queries
- Manage visitors (fobs)
- Minute taking
Skills required for the role:
- Flexibility / adaptability
- Good team working, written and communication skills
- Microsoft Office experience (Eg. Excel, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Friendly personality
- Efficient worker
- Good listening and observation skills
- Confident telephone manner

Time Commitment
One day per week: Minimum of 4 hours volunteering per day, time zone 9:30 – 15:00

Fundraising Officer

£26,250.00 per annum, pro rata
Full Time – 37 hours per week / Part Time (33 hours per week)

ABOUT LAUNCHPAD
Based in central Reading, Launchpad provides vital information and support for vulnerable individuals, couples and families in Reading who do not have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their home. Founded as a soup kitchen in 1979 by students at the University of Reading, the charity now provides a holistic service that works in three ways – we prevent homelessness, provide homes and rebuild lives.
THIS ROLE
As Launchpad’s Fundraising Officer, you will play a big part in supporting Launchpad’s vital work whilst our team is looking to the future. You are an enthusiastic, professional and proactive fundraiser looking to build your career in the not-for-profit sector. Whether you are managing individual fundraisers or community relationships to ensure they receive the best possible experience, ensuring our database (ThankQ) is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant or managing one of our events, you will play a central role in raising funds for Launchpad and building our community of supporters to have a real and lasting impact on helping local people in need.
You will help plan and deliver Launchpad’s major annual fundraising events, and co-ordinate the implementation of the community and corporate fundraising strategies. You will lead on the generation of income with a particular focus on community, corporate and volunteer fundraising to support current and new projects. You are a strong communicator who can engage effectively with different audiences to generate long-term support for Launchpad. Using these skills, you will increase awareness of our work in the local community and with local businesses and develop those relationships to keep them productive and mutually beneficial.
You are an enthusiastic, efficient, and flexible self-starter with proven fundraising or events marketing experience, combined with working knowledge of using a CRM system, preferably gained in the not-for-profit sector. Your excellent attention to detail, reputation for building strong working relationships, and experience working with volunteers coupled with your ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload whilst meeting deadlines make you an ideal candidate.
